It was a night of intimate dinner worth remembering especially for tourism agencies, stakeholders and key players from all over the Philippines and abroad who came to Panay for the first ever International Western Visayas Travel Fair. There were about 86 exhibitors with gorgeous men and lovely women representatives from high profile chains of hotels, airlines, cruises and travel agencies who were clad in fine suits and beautiful business attires. Department of Tourism Region VI Director Helen J. Catalbas who staunchly support and head this noble advocacy of providing a venue for Iloilo to become a Meeting, Conference, and Exhibition destination in the country, grace such a wonderful and Christmas-lit night at Casa Real, with Ms. Raissa Wynne Teo, the daughter of the incumbent Department of Tourism Secretary Wanda Corazon Teo tagging along. The event was organized by Director Christian Cesar Garrido, of The iEvents Philippines in collaboration with SEF Volunteers. Tribu Salognon, the 2016 Dinagyang Grand Champion, was also present to personally showcase to foreign guests, a bit of Dinagyang, one of the most colorful festivals in the country. Capping the night was the Performing Arts of The iEvents Philippines grand parade and presentation of the rich culture and distinct tradition that each popular province in the Philippines can offer with the hope that more tourists will come to Iloilo, and that the access to more travel accommodations and agencies will boost the tourism industry.
