NATIONAL Capital Regional Police Office chief Director Guillermo Eleazar on Sunday said that a liquor ban will be enforced starting today in preparation for Traslacion 2019 on Wednesday.

Meron tayong liquor ban starting tomorrow night hanggang po sa araw ng Traslacion,” Eleazar said during his interview on Super Radyo dzBB.

He advised those who will join the procession to avoid drinking for the meantime and those who will be drunk on the day of Traslacion to skip the procession.

Huwag kayong mag-inom kung kayo’y sasali dun. Kung kayo’y iinom huwag na kayong sasali sa Traslacion,” Eleazar said.

He told the devotees to be patient during the procession and consider it as their sacrifice for the Black Nazarene.

Eleazar reminded the devotees not to bring their kids, pointed objects, and illegal stuff such as shabu and marijuana.

Also, he discouraged devotees with ill health to join the procession.

Meanwhile, Eleazar assured everyone’s security during the procession as police forces will be present during the whole event.

Asahan niyo po ang inyong pulis. We are deploying 7,200 police personnel.  In addition to that, meron pa ‘yung around 2000 soldiers coming from the Armed Forces,” he said. (With GMA News/PN)
