ILOILO City – In Barangay North Baluarte, Molo district, a resident was almost stabbed by a trespasser, a police report showed.

The culprit fled when the 18-year-old Charles Carin Ta-asan shouted for help.

Ta-asan told the police he was surprised to find a man armed with a knife in their house at around 12:40 a.m. on Sept. 16.

The unidentified man tried to stab him, Ta-asan told the police, but ran away when he yelled.

Police were still investigating the incident to identify the trespasser.

The culprit detached four pieces of a jalousie window in the kitchen to enter the house and fled through the main door, the report stated./PN
