BACOLOD City – Police seized suspected shabu and a firearm from a tricycle driver during a buy-bust operation in Sitio Pahilanga, Barangay Miranda, Hinigaran, Negros Occidental.
The 41-year-old Julius “Koy-Koy” Mogat, married and a resident of Sto. Rosario Subdivision, Barangay Nanunga, Hinigaran, was collared 8:55 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14.
Hinigaran police categorized the suspect as a street-level individual.
Six big sachets weighing around 30 grams of suspected shabu worth P204,000, a caliber .38 revolver with ammunition, P1,000 buy-bust money, and non-drug-related items were recovered.
The suspect, currently in the custody of the Hinigaran Municipal Police Station, faces charges for violations of Republic Act (RA) 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Acts of 2002) and RA 10591 (Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act)./PN
