BACOLOD City – A Nissan truck pinned a man to death on McKinley Street, Silay City, Negros Occidental.

Superintendent Noel Polines, Silay City police chief, identified the casualty as Ryan Jandongon, 17, of Hacienda San Isidro, Barangay Bagtic, Silay City. The victim’s head was broken.

The truck was negotiating the street at around 11:15 p.m. on Jan. 10 when its driver – Moel Soto, 53, of Moises Padilla town – heard a loud bang, investigation showed.

Soto pulled over at a corner and found the victim on the pavement and the motorcycle a few meters away, police said.

Investigators found out that the motorcycle has also pulled over along McKinley Street at the time. Soto was detained./PN
