BACOLOD City – Police arrested two men for possessing unlicensed guns in Barangay E. Lopez, Silay City, Negros Occidental.
Armed with a search warrant, the police raided the residence of 46-year-old Rey Aballes and 60-year-old Henry Bernauro around 4:45 a.m. on Feb. 15, a police report showed.
Recovered from the house were two .45-caliber pistols, three short steel magazines, an extended magazine, a handgun holster, 14 pieces of live bullets and 19 pieces of ammunition.
Aballes and Bernauro were detained in the lockup cell of the Silay City police station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
