ILOILO City – Police arrested a man after an unlicensed gun was seized from him at a quarantine checkpoint in Barangay Binulosan Pequeño, Calinog, Iloilo.
The 56-year-old Loterio Castor of Barangay Buri, Tapaz, Capiz was caught around 5:30 p.m. on April 16, a police report showed.
The Calinog police recovered from Loterio a .45-caliber pistol loaded with three live bullets.
The suspect had no legal papers for the gun, thus he would be charged with violating Republic Act 10591 or for illegal possession of firearm. He was detained in the lockup cell of the municipal police station./PN
