UPMG releases statement on COVID-19 pandemic

THE United Print Media Group (UPMG), the largest group of publication companies in the country, stands as one with various sectors in this all-out war against the COVID-19 pandemic in communicating to the Filipino people important news and information that can help avoid the further escalation of this health crisis, UPMG president Barbie Atienza said in a statement.

“Through our various publications, together with our partner advertisers and agencies, we vow to play our critical role faithfully by providing the necessary awareness and counter FAKE NEWS,” he stressed.

Atienza has also wished for the health and safety of all members of the print media.

“Even as we join the nation in saluting and thanking our frontliners, we also pray for the health and safety of our editors, writers, photographers, production personnel, delivery boys, among others who also boldly face the challenges in carrying out our commitment,” he said.

“Until we overcome this worldwide dilemna, we will be here at your service. God bless us all!” he concluded./PN
