MANILA – Bureau of Customs Transformers star Alyssa Valdez is the runaway front-runner in the Most Valuable Player (MVP) race of the ongoing Shakey’s V-League Season 13 Reinforced Conference.
Valdez, a former Ateneo Lady Eagles star, is on track to bagging her third league MVP tiara as she is currently on top with 592.50 statistical points (SPs), on 87 attacks, 15 service aces and five blocks.
Valdez recently smashed a league-record when she scored her career-best 39 points, on 29 attacks, eight service aces and two blocks in Transformers’ 18-25, 27-25, 21-25, 25-21, 15-9 win over the Laoag Power Smashers.
The 39-point output of the San Juan, Batangas-native Valdez shattered the league-record 38 points of Thai import Sontaya Keawbundit in 2010 and the 37 points of former Adamson Lady Falcons star Angela Benting and Thai Lithawat Kesinee.
At second place is University of Santo Tomas Golden Tigresses’ Ennajie Laure, who has 586.37 SPs, followed by Power Smashers’ Gretchel Soltones, who has 543.50 SPs.
Coming in at fourth place is Pocari Sweat Lady Warriors’ import Breanna Mackie (537.67) followed by Bali Pure Water Defenders’ Angelique Gervacio (537) and Power Smashers’ Jorelle Singh (532.40).
