Vice Ganda drew laughs as he chimed in on the talks about Alvin Aragon’s recent remark about how it was God who supposedly told Izzy Trazona to leave the SexBomb Girls.
Aragon earlier spoke about his and his wife Trazona’s faith, regarding it as the reason why the latter resigned from the girl group and why she only did a special participation in the group’s reunion concerts. Aragon even criticized how the SexBomb Girls dress and perform, saying he wants to “protect” his wife from doing such.
The “It’s Showtime” host quipped about the matter during the noontime program’s episode on Tuesday, Feb. 17, while he was speaking to “Laro Laro Pick” segment contestant Joker.
“Nagdadasal ka ba? Nagbabasa ka ba ng Bibliya? Ilan ang utos ng Diyos?” Vice Ganda asked the participant, to which Joker answered, “10 po, Meme.”
(Do you pray? Do you read the Bible? How many are God’s commandments?)
The actor-comedian then joked, “Dati sampu, ngayon labing-isa na. ‘Yung panglabing-isang utos ng Diyos ay ‘Mag-resign ka sa SexBomb,’ sabi nung asawa ni Izzy.”
(Previously, it was 10 but now it has become 11. The 11th commandment is “Resign from SexBomb,” as per Izzy’s husband.)
Joker and hosts Vhong Navarro and Jhong Hilario burst into laughter along with the audience. Vice Ganda did not delve into the topic and proceeded to the game.
Aside from Vice Ganda, other celebrities who also reacted to Aragon’s recent controversial remarks include Joy Barcoma, IC Mendoza, and Rica Peralejo. (Anne Pasajol © Philippine Daily Inquirer)
