MANILA – Vice President Leni Robredo will release on Dec. 16 her drug war findings and recommendations from her two-week stint as co-chair of the Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD).

“I am just waiting for the 2019 Southeast Asian Games to finish before releasing the report. Most probably Monday, ano? Monday mangyayari ang revelation,” Robredo told reporters in an interview on Tuesday.

The former antidrug czar earlier said she wants to publicize her findings because the information helpful to improve the antidrug operations are left untouched on Duterte’s desk.

Robredo was appointed by President Duterte as ICAD co-chairperson last month after she criticized the drug war as a failure.

Duterte fired Robredo less than three weeks after she assumed office over fears that she will “mess up” the government’s campaign against illegal drugs.

The Vice President said that the report she was about to release contains recommendations on improving the drug war.

Ano ito, mas recommendatory. Ito, iyong pinakaplano talaga nito gagawin after ako natanggal,” Robredo said./PN
