ILOILO City – Police in Mandurriao district arrested a woman accused of failing to remit Social Security Service contributions.
Desiree Santillan, 59, of Zamora Street Extension, City Proper was detained at the custodial facility of the Mandurriao police station, a police report showed.
Officers served her a warrant of arrest at around 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday on Q. Abeto Street, Barangay Q. Abeto, Mandurriao.
Santillan was charged with violating Section 22 (a) in relation to sections 22 (d) and 28 (e) of Republic Act 8282, or the Act amending the Social Security Law, the police report stated.
Judge Daniel Antonio Gerardo Amular of the Regional Trial Court Branch 35 issued the warrant on Dec. 24, 2017 and set the bail bond for the accused’s temporary liberty at P24,000.
It was not immediately clear as of this writing if Santillan was able to post bail./PN
