ILOILO City – A woman facing a string of estafa charges was arrested yesterday while attending a court hearing for another case at the Hall of Justice in Roxas City.
The 58-year-old Melba Polonan of Barangay Poblacion Ilaya, Cuartero, Capiz was detained at the Roxas City police station.
Around 11:45 a.m. the police served an arrest warrant to Polonan issued by Judge Lorencito Diaz of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 17 for six counts of estafa.
For her temporary liberty, the court set the bail bond at P16,000 for each count of estafa complaint./PN
