MANILA – Women are a lot more humble and cautious when applying for jobs compared to men, an official of professional network platform LinkedIn said Monday.

Men tend to be “more eager” to demonstrate their strength compared to women who want to ensure that their capabilities are compatible with the available job, said LinkedIn Talent and Learning Solutions vice president Feon Ang in Singapore.

“Women are tend to be more humble in terms of how they illustrate their capabilities and hence very conscious,” Ang told ANC.

“We need to use words that is aligned to the job description so the right job will actually be profiled for the right candidates,” she added.

But research showed that both genders want equal access to opportunity, she said.

LinkedIn has a total of 600 million registered users with an “equal representation” in terms of gender, Ang said. (ABS-CBN News)
