BACOLOD City- A worker of URC Sugar and Renewables Group was detained in La Carlota City Police Station after allegedly stole the copper wires of the said company in Barangay RSB, La Carlota City, Negros Occidental.
Police said the 20-year old Angelo Autencio, of Barangay Zamora ,Pontevedra, Negros Occidental was nabbed for theft.
Investigation showed that Security Guard John Rey Gonzales, while conducting mandatory checking of hand carried bags to outgoing employees.
The guard discovered twisted copper wires weighing about two kilograms inside the sling bag of Autencio.
Immediately, Gonzales arrested the suspect when he failed to present when asked for pertinent documents relative to the twisted wires./PN
