MANILA – Taekwondo jins from Iloilo City and Capiz captured silver and bronze medals during the 2nd Lents Taekwondo Worldwide Online Poomsae Open 2020 held recently.
Iloilo Mark V. Pinggol jin Cyd Edryc Esmaña from Ateneo de Iloilo delivered a silver medal while stablemate Julianna Martha Uy also ended up with silver.
Joshua Cachero of Iloilo MVP and Mikee Rose Regala from Venancio Taekwondo Academy, meanwhile, teamed up for silver medal in over 17 blackbelt mixed pair poomsae.
Apart from Regala, the Capiz-based Venancio Taekwondo Academy also snagged bronze from Charm Basas, Ramon Carlos Chu, Rhanmel Morcoso, and Merishka Raine Ablao.
The online taekwondo tournament was held on Oct. 31 to Nov. 8 with participants submitting a video of their performances to the committee.
This was the second edition of the Lents Taekwondo Worldwide Online Poomsae Open following the success of its initial edition last September./PN
