ILOILO City – The top most wanted fugitive in Western Visayas was arrested Thursday afternoon, Oct. 8, in Bulacan following a joint manhunt operation.
Operating units tracked down the suspect, identified by his alias “Jerry,” 46, single, and a resident of Barangay Tuburan, Passi City, Iloilo, in Barangay Hinukas, Baliwag City, Bulacan, at around 4:37 p.m.
The Passi City Police Station led the operation in coordination with the Tarlac Police Provincial Office’s Provincial Intelligence Unit, Baliwag City Police Station, and Mexico Municipal Police Station in Pampanga.
Police served an arrest warrant for murder issued on Sept. 9, 2026 by presiding judge of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 68 in Dumangas, Iloilo. No bail was recommended for his temporary liberty.
Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) director Brigadier General Randulf T. Tuaño lauded the operating units for tracking down the suspect across regional borders through sustained intelligence sharing between Western Visayas and Central Luzon police offices.
Tuaño reiterated that police operatives will continuously pursue fugitives regardless of where they hide to ensure justice for victims and their families.
As of this writing, the accused was temporarily detained at the Baliwag City Police Station pending his transfer to the Passi City Police Station for proper disposition./PN
