WV’s No. 9 fugitive nabbed in Sara

ILOILO City – Police apprehended Western Visayas’ ninth most wanted person on Thursday, November 6, at his residence in Barangay Poblacion Ilaya, Sara, Iloilo,

The 20-year-old alias “Jo”, a laborer, was served with an arrest warrant for the crime of rape with carnal knowledge under Article 266-A, Paragraph 1 in relation to Article 266-B of the Revised Penal Code (RPC) and Republic Act 7610 issued by the Regional Trial Court (RTC) – Branch 70 in Barotac Viejo, Iloilo.

The arrest was carried out at around 2 p.m. by joint operatives of the Sara Municipal Police Station (MPS), Iloilo Police Provincial Office’s (IPPO) Provincial Intelligence Unit, 2nd Iloilo Provincial Mobile Force Company, and the Police Regional Office 6’s (PRO-6) Regional Intelligence Unit.

The suspect is now under the custody of the Sara MPS pending his turnover to the concerned court. No bail was recommended for his temporary liberty.

IPPO director Colonel Bayani Manuel Razalan said they would continue to run after those who have pending arrest warrants.

“I always told my men to review their records and look for persons who have pending cases,” Razalan added./PN
