ILOILO City – Police apprehended a 42-year-old man listed as the No. 2 most wanted person in Zarraga, Iloilo.
Zarraga police said the laborer identified as alias “Moroy,” married, and a resident of the town’s Sitio Banglid, Barangay Pajo, was arrested at 8:10 a.m. on Monday, September 28, in Jaro, Iloilo City.
Operatives from the Zarraga Municipal Police Station (MPS), in coordination with the Iloilo Police Provincial Office’s Provincial Intelligence Unit, served the warrant of arrest for violation of Section 5(i) of Republic Act 9262 (Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004) against the suspect.
The arrest warrant was issued by the Family Court, Sixth Judicial Region, Branch 5 dated Sept. 24, 2026. The court recommended a bail of P72,000 for the suspect’s temporary freedom.
Moroy is currently detained at the Zarraga MPS pending turnover to the court concerned./PN
