THE Zonta Club Metro Iloilo staged an empowering “Orange Walk” along the Iloilo Esplanade on December 4, advocating for the elimination of violence against women and children.

The walk, part of the 16-day activism campaign, gathered advocates to raise awareness about human rights violations, including child marriage and gender-based violence.

“We SPEAK UP before more rights are taken from us, our daughters, and our granddaughters,” the group declared.

They called on men and boys to join their cause, emphasizing that gender-based violence affects everyone.

Through this initiative, Zonta Club reaffirmed its commitment to supporting victims, protecting rights, and fostering a safer community for future generations./PN
