ILOILO City – Rape and attempted rape suspects have been arrested in Barangay Oñate de Leon, Mandurriao district and Barangay Nalbugan, Calinog, Iloilo, respectively.
Jose Antonio AndradaLaguindam, 56, was charged with violation of Republic Act 8353, or the Anti-Rape Law of 1997.
Police officers from Mandurriao and Libertad, Antique served Laguindam – a native of Barangay Pajo, Libertad – a warrant of arrest at around 8 a.m. on Feb. 17.
The court has not set a bail bond for Laguindam’s temporary liberty.
At around 12:30 p.m. of the same day, the 36-year-old Rey Cachuela was caught in Calinog.
Calinog police station personnel served him with a warrant of arrest for attempted rape.
The bail bond for his temporary liberty was set at P120,000. (Panay Balita/PN)
