GUIMARAS – This island province received 1,000 vials – equivalent to 5,000 doses – of the Janssen vaccine against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) from the Department of Health (DOH) on July 21.

These would be administered to Guimaras’ healthcare frontliners, senior citizens and persons with comorbidities, according to the provincial government.

The 1,000 vials were part of the 289,900 Janssen doses allotted to Western Visayas.
