BACOLOD City – A man from Sta. Catalina town in Negros Oriental was arrested for shabu and gun possession.

Jerry Juarez, 33, was collared in Bayawan City, Negros Oriental on Friday inside the public market of Barangay Suba.

According to Police Officer 3 Richard Chua, Juarez indiscriminately fired a .38 handgun.

Responding policemen seized the gun and arrested Juarez.

They also recovered from the suspect two small sachets of suspected shabu.
Juarez faces two charges – violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act and Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Juarez was detained at the Bayawan police station./PN
