BACOLOD City – The city government recently received 1,000 vials of reformulated Pfizer vaccines against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) for children from five to 11 years old.
Each vial is good for 10 doses, said Dr. Chris Sorongon, deputy for medical data analysis and management of the Emergency Operations Center-Task Force (EOC-TF) here.
Pediatric vaccination against COVID-19 started on Feb. 14. This week, the EEOC-TF hopes to vaccinate 5,000 children out of the more than 40,000 masterlisted.
Parents are advised to bring their children’s birth certificate, parental consent if accompanied by a guardian and any government-issued identification card.
Here are the vaccination venues:
* Feb. 14 and 15 – Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital and Bacolod Queen of Mercy Hospital
* Feb.14 to 16 – Riverside Medical Center
* Feb. 16 – City Health Office
* Feb. 17 to 19 – Saint John’s Institute and STI -West Negros University.
Vaccination is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
