11 Antique cops sacked for ‘illegal gambling, misdemeanors’

ILOILO City – Eight police chiefs and three other officers in the province of Antique were temporarily relieved from their posts for a variety of reasons.

These cops were:

* Lieutenant Colonel Alfredo Sumaray – Antique Police Provincial Office (AnPPO) headquarters

* Lieutenant Colonel Joseph Puno – AnPPO headquarters

* Major Joshua Villasis – AnPPO headquarters

* Major Adolfo Pagharion – Culasi Municipal Police Station (MPS)

* Captain Bryan Alamo – Laua-an MPS

* Lieutenant Harry Jhun Amar – Culasi MPS

* Lieutenant Paul Joseph Oberio – Bugasong MPS

* Captain Jeremy Ian Magbanua – San Remegio MPS

* Captain Horizon Villanueva – Hamtic MPS

* Captain Narciso Sables – Pandan MPS

* Lieutenant Colonel Benjo Clarite – San Jose MPS

These police officers were relieved on Sept. 10 after Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) director, Police Brigadier General Leo Francisco, conducted a command visit.

Among the reasons for their relief were their failure to stop the Peryahan Games (Peryahan ng Bayan) operations, non-observance of “Tamang Bihis” directive, failure to follow instructions, and not knowing their area of operations.

They are now in the Regional Personnel Holding and Accounting Unit (RPHAU) of the PRO-6 headquarters in Iloilo City and will undergo refresher courses.

Mag-training sila for two weeks at let’s see if makabalik sila or hindi. Basta may mali sila, we have to call their attention,” Francisco said./PN
