ILOILO City – There will be a 15-hour temporary shutdown of the MIB Water Treatment Plant from Nov. 30 to Dec. 1 for maintenance activities.
Consumer-members of Metro Iloilo Water District (MIWD) may experience low water pressure or no water beginning 6 p.m. on Nov. 30 to 9 a.m. of Dec. 1.
These are the affected areas:
* Santa Barbara, Iloilo
* Pavia, Iloilo
* Iloilo City – the districts of Jaro, Mandurriao, La Paz, Molo, Arevalo, City Proper
“Due to the necessary flushing” after the repair, there could be “intermittent air pockets and turbid water after the interruption period,” an advisory from MIWD stated.
The water district recommends that consumers store water before hand and boil water after the interruption./PN
