BACOLOD City – An 18-year-old man was found dead under a bridge in Barangay Tapi, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
Jonel Mandar had a head injury. Police believed he slipped and fell from the Binadio-an Bridge and hit a hard object or surface.
A resident, 56-year-old Naro Guadalupe, found Mandar’s body floating on the knee-deep water under the bridge on Tuesday.
His brother Jay-ar told the police Mandar had a drinking spree around 2 p.m. on Monday and went home at 4 p.m.
After a while, Mandar went out again. He never came back home.
Police asked the nearby households if they heard a noise or struggle in the area, but they told the police they haven’t./PN
