ILOILO City – An 18-year-old lad was fatally shot by unidentified motorcycle-riding suspects on MH Del Pilar Street, Molo district, around 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday, November 19.
The victim identified as Chris Mark Gapol, a resident of Zone 5, Barangay San Juan, Molo, was inside a tricycle waiting for someone when two unidentified male suspects approached and shot him multiple times.
Captain Ryan Christ Inot, chief of the Iloilo City Police Station 4, said the victim sustained fatal injuries to the head and other parts of the body. He was declared dead on arrival at Iloilo Doctors’ Hospital.
Inot added that the suspects fled in unknown direction after the attack.
As of this writing, Molo police were still investigating the incident to identify and arrest the perpetrators.
