BACOLOD City – Suspected shabu weighing about five grams was seized in a sting operation in Barangay Lantad, Silay City, Negros Occidental.
The 31-year-old “high-value” suspect Alexander Chavez and his 32-year-old brother Noe yielded the suspected illegal drugs valued at around P75,000, a police report showed.
Police officers staged an entrapment operation which led to the arrest of the suspects around 2:50 p.m. on Thursday.
Aside from suspected shabu, a P4,500 marked money and a cellphone were recovered from Alexander and Noe, the report added.
The suspects were detained in the Silay City police station’s custodial facility, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
