ILOILO City – A Private First Class in the Philippine Army was arrested before dawn yesterday in Barangay Jibolo, Janiuay. Iloilo.
The 29-year-old Joylyn Adorable was tagged in the shooting of Marl June Manejero, 26, of Barangay San Julian, Janiuay and R-Jay Solinap, 20, of Barangay Talaba, Badiangan town.
The shooting took place at an eatery, the Toto Kent Arrozcaldohan, around 3 a.m.
Adorable confronted Manejero for being noisy then fired his .45 pistol, according to Senior Inspector John Paul Guay, Janiuay police chief.
Solinap, Adorable’s cousin, tried to pacify the suspect but was shot too, said Guay.
Manejero was shot on the waist while Solinap on the left arm. Both were taken to the district hospital based in the town.
Responding police officers arrested Adorable and seized the gun.
Guay said Adorable faces criminal and administrative charges.
The suspect, a resident of Barangay Talaba, Badiangan, appeared drunk, he added./PN
