ILOILO City – Accused of sexually harassing a minor, a resident of Barangay Poblacion, Zarraga, Iloilo was arrested in Barangay Enclaro, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental, a police report showed.
Virgilio Hudepa, 41, was charged with acts of lasciviousness under Article 336 of the Revised Penal Code in relation to Republic Act 7610, or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
At around 5:30 p.m. on Friday, officers served Hudepa an arrest warrant issued by Judge Juana Judita Panigbatan-Nafarrete of the Regional Trial Court Branch 30, the police report stated.
Hudepa – the No. 4 wanted person in the watch list of the Zarraga police station – hid in Negros Occidental upon learning about his charge, police said.
The suspect was in the custody of the Binalbagan police station as of this writing and was expected to be remitted to the Zarraga police station this week./PN
