BACOLOD City – Two men facing kidnaping charges were caught in separate police operations in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.
They were 29-year-old Henry Ortiz of Barangay Mabini, Cadiz City and 36-year-old Candelaria Melachico of Barangay Jerusalem, Cadiz City.
Ortiz was nabbed around 11:20 a.m. on June 7 in Barangay Zone 2, Cadiz City. Later that day, Melachico was also caught around 1:55 p.m. along Lopez Jana Street in Barangay Zone 4, Cadiz City.
Police arrested the suspects on the strength of an arrest warrant issued by Judge Gloria Butay Aglugub of the Regional Trial Court Branch 254 in Las Piñas City dated October 10, 2011.
They were detained in the custodial facility of the Cadiz City police station./PN
