ILOILO City – Two illegal drug trafficking suspects from Negros Occidental were arrested in police operations in Iloilo just hours apart on Wednesday.
A total of nine plastic packs of shabu were seized from Aldan Hiliwagan, 30, of Victorias City and Marilyn Abanggo of Barangay 2, Bacolod City.
Police arrested Hiliwagan at the port of Dumangas town (Barangay Sapao) at around 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Information that reached the Dumangas police said Hiliwagan will ride a boat in delivering shabu to Iloilo, said Chief Inspector Rene Obregon, municipal police head.
An undercover officer transacted with Hiliwagan for a P500 drug sale.
After arresting Hiliwagan, police brought him to the municipal police station. They seized one more sachet of shabu from him.
Seven hours before Hiliwagan was caught in Dumangas, Abanggo was arrested in Barangay Tabucan, Barotac Nuevo town.
Six sachets of shabu were seized from her. This was on top of the one she told to an undercover officer for P500, police said.
