ILOILO City – Two women residents of Quezon City were caught stealing men’s clothing at Robinsons Place mall on Ledesma Street, City Proper, a police report showed.
Lilibeth Cariño, 36, and Lorena Matampac, 39, were detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 1. They yielded more than P6,000 worth of items.
Department Store security guard Niel Morada arrested the women, both residents of Barangay Old Balara, Diliman, Quezon City, and turned them over to the police on Tuesday.
Morada told the police he caught the suspects inserting items from the Men’s Apparel section inside their shirts and leaving the Department Store without paying at the cashier.
Among the items seized from the women were several jerseys and pairs of short pants, the police report stated.
Police Station 1 took custody of the allegedly stolen items./PN
