ILOILO City – Two vendors complained to the police in Barangay Poblacion, Makato, Aklan that a man threatened to shoot them.

The 32-year-old Ricky Bendecio of Bacolod City and 36-year-old Vic Nemiada of Barangay Dangcalan, Malinao, Aklan identified the man as 38-year-old Jelvin Maayon of Barangay Agbalogo, Makato.

Maayon was arrested around 3:35 p.m. on Jan. 15.

Police recovered from the suspect a .9mm pistol. They said it was unlicensed.

Maayon faces two charges – grave threat and illegal gun possession, police said./PN
