ILOILO City – A wayward truck crashed against a rock in the hilly barangay of Mali-ao in Leon, Iloilo on Monday. Three persons died while one was injured.
The following died of multiple body and head injuries:
* truck driver Marven Soliva, 25, of Barangay Tina-an Norte, Leon
* Jay Campo, 23 of Barangay Buga, Leon
* Krister Jhonn Taghap of Barangay Miac-ac, Leon
The three were employees of Camcu Construction and Supplies.
Their other companion, 24-year-old Ruel Campollo of Barangay Tina-an, Leon, survived the crash but was injured. He was taken to the Iloilo Provincial Hospital in Pototan, Iloilo.
The accident happened at around 4:20 p.m. The truck was on its way back to the Camcu Construction and Supplies office in Barangay Buga, Leon, said Police Lieutenant Sammy Gasataya, Leon police chief.
Soliva lost control of the truck, he said./PN
