ROXAS City – A failed attempt to save their younger sister led to the death of two teenagers in Barangay San Antonio, Tapaz, Capiz. They all drowned, police said.
The 12 year-old Princess Pascua and sisters Lycel, 14, and Leah, 15, went fishing in a dam in the village along with their cousins on Oct. 28, a police report showed.
The Pascua sisters were residents of Barangay San Julian, Tapaz.
Senior Inspector Edwin Luces, Tapaz police chief, said Princess slipped off the dam and drowned.
Lycel and Leah plunged into the water in an attempt to save Princess but failed.
Luces said the bodies of the sisters were found on the deepest part of the dam.
They were brought to the Tapaz District Hospital where attending physicians pronounced them “dead on arrival.”/PN
