34 MSMEs join ‘Estilo Capiztahan’ product showcase

ROXAS City – A month-long product showcase dubbed “Estilo in Capiztahan” is ongoing at the second level of a new mall here to highlight locally-manufactured or processed products.

The event, which commenced in time with the mall’s grand opening, is being participated in by 12 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) engaged in home style as well as wearables, and 22 MSMEs from the food sector.

“Estilo in Capiztahan” is one of the highlights of the 2022 CAPIZtahan celebration which marks the province’s 121st charter anniversary this April.

“The product showcase serves as a launching pad of our fair and exhibit branding ‘Estilo Capiz,’” said Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) provincial director Ken Queenie Cuñada.

The annual provincial trade fair has been providing MSMEs the opportunity to better market their products and create higher demand especially that the DTI initiative intends to promote the province’s culture and bounty.

Capiz offers diverse resources like bamboo, abaca, wood, coconut and capiz shells as main raw material for the MSMEs’ continuing innovation in product development.

This year’s “Estilo Capiztahan” plays a significant contribution to the government’s economic recovery efforts and supports local products that translate to more jobs and economic development. (PIA-Capiz/PN)
