ILOILO City – Four drug pushing suspects were facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Edilberto “Toto” V. Laserna Jr., Lilibeth “Marivic” B. Borines, Mary Jennel G. Solis, and Enrique L. Ignacia were detained in the custodial facility of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 6.
They were arrested in buy-bust operations on Sunday and Monday in Barangay Banica, Roxas City, the PDEA said.
Solis and Ignacia yielded two sachets of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia yesterday, a PDEA press release stated.
On Sunday, Laserna and Borines sold suspected shabu to an undercover agent, said the PDEA. Three sachets of suspected shabu were seized from them.
Solis and Ignacia were facing charges for violation of the law’s sections 5 (selling), 26 (b) (conspiracy), 11 (possession of dangerous drugs), and 12 (possession of paraphernalia).
Charges for violation of sections 5, 11 and 12 may be slapped against Laserna and Borines, the PDEA said./PN
