ILOILO City – A senior citizen was arrested on Valeria Street, Barangay Magsaysay here yesterday around 11:30 a.m.
Seventy-year-old Valentino Perfino Chua, a resident of Barangay Bonifacio Tanza, was charged with violation of Republic Act 8282, or the Social Security Act of 1997.
Judge Ma. Yolanda Panaguiton Gavino of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 34 ordered the arrest.
Chua was detained in lockup cell of Police Station 1. A P72,000 bail bond was recommended for his temporary liberty./PN
