BACOLOD City – An 84-year-old man was found dead in Barangay Talacdan, Cauayan, Negros Occidental.
Amado Soreno, 84, of Sitio Baslay in the said village was believed to have drowned in the river, a police report showed.
Soreno disappeared while crossing the river around 4 p.m. on Oct. 21.
His body was fished out in the morning of Oct. 23.
The victim’s body was brought to a local mortuary for a “post-mortem” examination.
Personnel of the Cauayan police station have yet to rule out foul play in the incident./PN
