ILOILO City – Police arrested a man and his stepsister in Barangay Hughes, City Proper for allegedly selling shabu.
Officers recovered 40 plastic packs of the prohibited drug from the 29-year-old Jalomar Sarabia and the 39-year-old Joan Dumaran.
Senior Superintendent Christopher Tambungan, deputy director for operations of the Police Regional Office 6, led the buy-bust operation.
The suspects sold a plastic pack of shabu to an undercover police officer for P1,500. Thirty-nine more sachets were seized from them, Tambungan said.
Sarabia and Dumaran were hauled to the Police Station 1 detention facility.
The Regional Drug Enforcement Unit staged the operation around 4 p.m. on June 3.
Tambungan said they were still waiting for the crime laboratory to determine the amount of the recovered shabu and its value./PN
