ILOILO City – In Barangay Calaparan, Arevalo district, a commotion led to the stabbing of a 20-year-old resident.
Denmark Calansingin sustained stab wounds on the left elbow and right stomach.
He was taken to the Iloilo Doctors’ Hospital in Molo but later transferred to the West Visayas State University Medical Center in Jaro.
Calansingin identified his attacker as 20-year-old Kenneth Dave Arguelles of Barangay San Juan, Molo, a police report showed.
Arguelles was detained at the Arevalo police station.
Calansingin was with friends on Saturday evening when Arguelles passed by them.
A commotion then ensued, police said. It was not immediately clear what the fight was about./PN
