BACOLOD City – A 37-year-old resident of Barangay West Boloc-boloc, Sibulan town, Negros Oriental was arrested for possessing firearms and suspected illegal drug.
Around 1 p.m. on Sunday, police nabbed Mikel Mongcopa Estoras for firing his gun which caused panic to the residents.
Estoras tried to escape during the arrest but some residents were able to catch him.
Confiscated from the suspect were one .357 revolver and one S&W Magnum made in the USA with serial number 848621 and loaded with five live bullets.
During the body search, police also recovered two small sachets of suspected shabu.
Estoras was brought to Sibulan town lockup cell./PN
