KALIBO, Aklan – A new commander will take over the 12th Infantry Battalion (IB) of the Philippine Army in Libas, Banga on Aug. 2.
The outgoing commander Lieutenant Colonel Leomar Jose Doctolero was assigned in Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo headquarters in Quezon City.
Lieutenant Colonel Vener Morga will replace Doctolero, sources from the Philippine Army said.
Morga led the 82nd Infantry Battalion on Oct. 17 last year in Camp Monteclaro, Miagao, Iloilo.
Before his assignment in Miagao, he was the executive officer of the 301st Infantry Brigade in Dingle, Iloilo.
Doctolero thanked the stakeholders for their trust and the members of the Civilian Armed Forces Geographical Units in the province.
Major General Jon Aying, commander of 3rd Infantry Division, will lead the turnover of the 34th commanding officer of the 12th IB.
The turnover will be attended by mayors, police, academe members, media, and provincial and municipal officials, 10 a.m., at the 12th IB multi-purpose building. (Aklan Forum Journal/PN)
