ILOILO City – A passenger on board a jeepney in La Paz district survived an attempt on his life.
Rey Pardilla believed he was the target of the unidentified man who fired at him while the jeepney was passing by Forbes Bridge around 11:40 p.m. on Monday, a police report showed.
The 32-year-old resident of Barangay Sambag, Jaro said their jeepney was running slow when the suspect suddenly emerged at the window and fired at him, but missed and hit the windshield instead.
The shooter quickly fled after the incident.
Pardilla was unable to identify the suspect. Police have yet to identify the shooter and determine the firearm he used and his motive./PN
