ILOILO City – A wanted person was arrested in Barangay Apero, Tapaz, Capiz.
The 34-year-old resident Roland Gerapista was charged with attempted homicide.
Tapaz police station officers and 13 police noncommissioned officers served Gerapista an arrest warrant issued by Presiding Judge Sebastino A. Baguio of the Municipal Circuit Trial Court Dumalag-Tapaz.
But Gerapista may be in for more trouble. The arresting officers found in his house a loaded homemade single-shot, 12-gauge shotgun and a fired cartridge.
Gerapista was detained at the Tapaz police station after his arrest around 5:30 a.m. on Aug. 25.
Judge Baguio set the bail at P12,000. It was not clear as of this writing if the suspect has posted bail./PN
