ILOILO City – Police were still trying to find out why a man from Barangay Naulid, Miag-ao, Iloilo was stabbed on Iznart Street, this city.
The 32-year-old Jovanny Fandagani sustained a stab wound below his left armpit. He was taken to the Iloilo Doctors’ Hospital.
Two suspects were arrested – Aljim Divino, 29, of Barangay Yulo-Arroyo and Niel Anthony Demakiling, 22, of Barangay Concepcion, both in City Proper – a police report showed.
Both were detained at Police Station 1.
Fandagani was waiting for a jeepney ride with a friend around 1:30 a.m. on Aug. 20 when the suspects approached him, stabbed him and fled, the police report stated.
The suspects appeared to be drunk at the time, police said, citing investigation. A hot pursuit led to their arrest around 4:30 p.m./PN
