ILOILO City – After a heated argument, a resident of Barangay Tanza Esperanza, City Proper hit a neighbor with a spade, a police report showed.
The 21-year-old Arnel Callado was detained at Police Station 1.
The victim – the 28-year-old Ricardo Igpuara – sustained wounds on the head and right ear.
Iloilo City Emergency Response personnel applied first-aid treatment on him before taking him to the Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao district, the police report showed.
The incident happened around 10:20 a.m. on Aug. 31 at A. Montes Elementary School on Duran Street in Barangay Veterans Village.
Teachers and bystanders tried to pacify them until the police arrived./PN
