ILOILO City – Detention was what a drunken resident of Barangay Villa Anita got for allegedly punching his two younger sisters.

One of the victims, 23-year-old Daphnie Jade, told the police she did not expect her brother, 25-year-old Clarence Angelo Valdevieso, would hurt them.

Valdevieso was binge drinking with friends at the second floor of their house on Fortunata Street, Barangay Villa Anita on the evening of Sept. 4. Daphnie Jade told them to leave, a police report showed.

Valdevieso obliged, only to return home around 12:45 a.m. of the following day. His sisters were already asleep at the time.

He went to his sisters’ bedroom and repeatedly punched Daphnie Jade on the head. He did the same to their minor sister, the police report stated.

The sisters sustained swelling on their faces and heads. Police told them to get themselves checked by a doctor.

Valdevieso was arrested and detained in Police Station 1./PN
